Wade and I have been married for six years. We have one precious 2 year old son, Kyler. We thank God every single day for giving us this miracle. I am a 4th grade teacher and Wade is a firefighter. We are very involved with our church, Aldersgate UMC. We are truly thankful for our blessed lives and our fabulous family of three...plus our two dogs!
We had a fabulous Christmas...for the most part! (I will get to that part later) We made brownies for Santa and Kyler was THRILLED that Santa ate them all...and drank his milk. He loved all of his new toys from Santa. We had lunch at Honey & Granddaddy's house (my parents) and we had a ball. We went to my brother in law and sister in law's house (Bryan and Sarah) to open presents with Grandma and Grandpa. Here is where the not so fab part began...that night, (Christmas night) Wade got very, very ill. He got a horrific stomach bug and we were up most of the night and he was still sick the whole next day...so we did not get to go back out and have our Christmas lunch with the McDowell family. They were so sweet though...they brought a goodie basket for us with some of the food they cooked and goodies, too so we could enjoy them as well. (Ky and I..Wade had soup) My favorite part: the kids listening to the reading of the birth of Jesus and all of us singing Happy Birthday to Jesus at Honey's house. I hope and pray that Kyler will continue to see and feel God's love each and every day of his life. We hope that you all had a very blessed Christmas and here is to another wonderful year!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we had a house full of people! This was our first major holiday in our new home so we invited everyone to our house for Thanksgiving lunch. We had 12 adults and 8 children and we had a blast. Kyler loved being with both sets of grandparents, both sets of aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins. Wade's parents stayed with us for a few days so we had a great visit with them. I have to admit, I am not ready to go back to work tomorrow. I could use another few days of relaxing and hanging out with family. Reality hits at 6:00 am in the morning BUT I am sooo grateful for a job that I truly love. I hope that everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving...now BRING ON CHRISTMAS!!! : )
Well my dear friend said I needed to update so here it goes...we are trucking along with Fall. Wade and I went to Kyler's Halloween party at school and we had a great time. Snacks, snacks, and more snacks! Of course Ky was a firefighter. Then we gave out candy at our Trunk-or-Treat at church. We had a ball! At school my grade level team all dressed up...we had a great time! It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. We are looking forward to having the whole family and Wade's family at our house for Thanksgiving this year!! Our first Thanksgiving in our new home!! Happy Fall Yall!!
We have been busy with many things! Kyler was a rose presenter at the Harvest Festival so he got to dress up in his "ganster" pin striped suit. He looked precious! He has been into birds a lot lately so Daddy put together a bird feeder and Kyler and I painted it. We are excited to put it in the yard and watch the birdies eat. We also attended our Italian Extravaganza at my school and he got to dress up in his firefighter costume. We had a great time! It is hard to believe that he is almost 2 1/2...and that Christmas is right around the corner!!!
Saturday, Kyler and I participated in the Race for the Cure. Students, faculty, and alumni from the school district I teach in raised money for the cause. Team Cooper vs. Cancer raised a little over $5,000!!! We had a great time walking and talking with friends!!! It was so awesome to be a part of something so huge and it was really great to see so many people support the cause. THINK PINK!!!
Just wanted to share a few pictures from some recent fun times we have shared! Kyler loves staying busy and he is always keeping us on our toes! He is so full of joy and he is such a tremendous blessing in our lives.
